WIP: Black Legion
Put together my first Chaos Space Marine - from the regular Chaos Space Marine GW box. Got it primed and a coat of Gehennas Gold and Auric Armor Cold put down for some detail.
Still a long way to go, especially with working on those Tyranids too.

WIP: Tyranid Coloring Test
I like how this model is coming out for my color scheme for my Tyranids. Still have some detail work to do, but overlal, fairly quick and easy.
Starts with a basic white prime folowed by a coat of Drakenhof Nightshade on the carapace and Mephiston Red over the exposed flesh areas.
Second coat on the carapace, clean up the body with Skull White and then do a heavy wash with Seraphim Sepia over the body. Wallah. 3 color minium, but does need more detail of course and basing.

Update
You would think with how quiet my blog has been that I haven't been involved much with my favorite hobby lately... and you'd be wrong. WOW what a month this has been game and hobby-wise!
My second event I've hosted went as well as the first up at Bud's Place - pics to come soon and I've manage to get in a couple more wins under 6th Edition with my Grey Knights. In other news I'm about to launch The Southern Inquisition: a 40K Podcast with my brother-in-law Ken and we've gotten our first sponsor for the show already. The first episode will be out in just over 2 weeks. I've been building my Tyranid army, it's weighing in now at 651 points worth of models. I've reserved and pre-paid for my collectors edition of the 6th Edition starter set and went ahead and bought some more Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Space Marine Lord to start - yes the third Newb's army and of course I'll be building up some Dark Angels to run alongside my grey Knights.
So in just over a month, I'm going from 1 army to 4 armies. Pretty excited is all I have to say about that! The photo above is from my experimentation with some Corpse Field Bases by Secret Weapon Miniatures - these are the bases I'm going to use in my Tyranid army. The pic below is a final work for one of the 60mm bases for a Hive Tyrant.
